TIP
The layered look depends on color contrast. Try deep blue on top with teal, gold and white behind, as in the preview. Do a small test cut first to check the fit and your kerf, and dry-fit all the layers before gluing. Finishing it a few weeks before Christmas leaves time to hang it on the wall or wrap it as a gift.
